What to expect from my lessons

  • Each lesson will begin with a warm up and recap of any practice done during the week, alongside the project/song we’re working on at that time.

The remainder of the lesson will always be focused on the aims and objectives of the individual student, practicing difficult techniques, or discussing complicated concepts.

  • Building technique with an instrument takes many hours of practice and dedication. Having a teacher to tailor technical exercises can cut that workload, and allow you to work smarter not harder, spending more time playing what you enjoy.

  • Once students have set their aims and objectives, I will encourage them to practice, and provide instructions on how much is recommended, and what they should focus on.

For younger learners practice can often feel like homework. Ideally It strikes a balance between the fun, interesting part of musicianship as well as the hard work.

Private Guitar Lessons

In person

  • If you live in the Leeds area, in person lessons give great engagement, and bypass the potential for technical faults getting in the way of learning. For those who don’t mind to travel in person lessons are the best option.

Private Guitar lessons

Online

  • Once upon a time online lessons would have been impossible, but due to the efficacy of software like zoom, facetime and whatsapp video, taking a lesson from the comfort of your own home, has never been easier.

Watch me teach a short lesson!

This is just a short youtube lesson on the major and minor scales, but hopefully you’ll be able to see a little of my teaching style!

Watch my students perform…

These guys put in so much work to play these songs. It was a pleasure to put them through a professional recording set up and get some great takes of their skills!

Don’t take my word for it!
